On February 2, 2023, Flaco — a male Eurasian eagle-owl, the largest species of owl in the world — was discovered missing from his cage at the Central Park Zoo in Manhattan. Flaco escapes and sets off on a magical odyssey through the island of Manhattan. Flaco overcomes his years of captivity and lack of survival skills to answer the call of the wild – and discovers he was wild inside all along.

This screening will feature a post-film panel discussion with Jackie Emery and David Lei, wildlife photographers featured in the film. Copies of their book, Finding Flaco: Our Year With New York City’s Beloved Owl, will be available for purchase and for signing.
