Come to the University of New Haven for an inspiring talk by Gene Baur on changing perceptions about animals, food, the environment and our own health!

What if there was ONE CHOICE that could solve many of the world’s problems? Gene will discuss the interconnected topics, touching on ethical, environmental, and health issues within our food system coupled with tangible solutions.

* **Animal Advocacy & Sanctuaries**: Ethical treatment of animals in our food system is a major concern. Sanctuaries provide a glimpse into alternative relationships with animals, but how can they scale their impact?
* **Environmental & Health Issues**: Industrial animal agriculture drives climate change, deforestation, and biodiversity loss while harming health through pesticides, processed foods, pollution, and antibiotic resistance. Sustainable solutions are needed.

President and Co-founder of Farm Sanctuary, Gene Baur has been hailed as “the conscience of the food movement” by Time magazine. Since the mid-1980s, he has worked to raise awareness about factory farming abuses and promoted a just and compassionate food system.
